Located in the heart of Mechanicsburg, PA, Black n Bleu Restaurant masterfully blends the casual charm of a bar & grill with the elevated experience of fine dining, making it a versatile destination for both laid-back evenings and special celebrations. This American restaurant and bistro is a haven for those craving a rich, flavorful menu that spans from succulent seafood to hearty burgers and inventive pasta dishes.

Step inside and you’ll find an inviting ambiance where rustic comforts meet a sophisticated touch, setting the perfect stage for intimate dinners or lively gatherings. The atmosphere balances energy and warmth, making it an ideal backdrop whether you’re enjoying a night out with friends or treating yourself to a memorable date night.

The menu is a celebration of bold flavors and thoughtfully crafted plates that ignite your palate. Start with crowd-pleasers like the Lobster Egg Rolls—crispy on the outside with a delicately spiced, tender lobster filling—or the addictive Firecracker Shrimp that delivers a lively kick with every bite. Their Firehouse Pasta and Blackened Chicken Alfredo envelop fresh pasta in luscious, smoky sauces, while the Lobster Mac-N-Cheese reinvents comfort food with a decadent seafood twist.

For burger lovers, the Bnb Burger stands out—a perfectly blackened grilled chuck topped with pungent blue cheese crumbles, layered with fresh lettuce and tomato, providing a beautiful balance of smoky, creamy, and fresh textures. The Wagyu Burger offers a premium experience, leveraging locally sourced American Kobe beef for a juicy, tender bite that’s hard to match. Sandwich enthusiasts can also delight in the Black Chicken Cheese Steak, a flavorful medley of blackened chicken, caramelized onions, and bell peppers melted under cheddar, all nestled in a toasted baguette.

Seafood is another cornerstone here, with dishes like the Salt Baked Trout and Seared Scallops Pasta showcasing fresh catches dressed in skillful preparation that preserve their natural sweetness and texture. The Rhode Island Calamari and Fried Oysters offer crispy, golden indulgences perfect as starters or sharable plates.

Dessert is not an afterthought at Black n Bleu. The Crème Brûlée delivers a smooth, creamy custard beneath a perfectly torched caramelized sugar crust, while the Chocolate Pb Cake layers rich chocolate with peanut butter icing for a decadent finale. For a lighter, yet satisfying choice, the creamy Cheesecake and the Peanut Butter Pie round out the sweet offerings with comforting familiarity.

Drinks complement the meal elegantly, with an array of bottled sodas including classic Coke and Diet Coke served chilled, alongside a well-priced cocktail selection that customers consistently praise. Guests often mention the friendly and knowledgeable service, with particular shoutouts to staff members like Nicole, whose warm welcome enhances the dining experience.

While most diners rave about the generous portions, fresh ingredients, and creative menu, a few note that some dishes have room for seasoning tweaks or presentation finesse. Nevertheless, the consensus leans strongly positive, especially given the restaurant’s lively, welcoming atmosphere and versatile menu that caters to a broad spectrum of tastes.

We went for a special occasion as suggested by Google and wife wanted to try it out. The service was very prompt and courteous. The food was very bland with little to no seasoning and plating for presentation was non existent. Definitely more for casual everyday dining. There are so many other date night or special occasions options we wish we would pick. Food was cooked on point and was served hot lacked flavor on steak, baked potato, green beans. Son had ribs were again cooked to perfection then instead of smoke and seasoning just slathered with BBQ sauce. We likely will not be back.

Group of 8 friends for annual Christmas dinner and Black n Bleu was chosen this year as no one had been prior. By the time we left, all agreed we would be back. Quantity and quality of food was exceptional. Highly recommend the Monster burger and the Tuna app!!!

Very busy place, we waited about 20 minutes for a table for two, which wasn’t too bad. My wife ordered a side salad and the seafood pasta, and I went with the seafood salad. The portions were generous, and they use fresh pasta with plenty of seafood, crab, shrimp, and scallops. We did have to wait around 10 minutes before our waitress came by to take drink orders, and a few tables seated after us received their drinks and water first, which was a little disappointing. That said, the food and pricing more than made up for it. The quality and amount you get for the price were surprisingly good, definitely cheaper than most upscale restaurants while still feeling like a nice dining experience. All in all, we’d come back again.

Update 07/01/25 Based on my experience in 2023, I was looking forward to an even better experience! Unfortunately, it was not as good! So I have to be fair and rate it 4 stars! Why? The lobster bisque no longer had bits of actual lobster and the lobster rolls were delicious however we couldn’t find the lobster., but plenty of vegis nd crispy on the outside. The Crème Brûlée was good. The food continues to be very tasty but it missed the wow factor this time! This was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in a while and I will definitely be back! Fresh food and excellent service! Both my friend and I had the Lobster soup and I had the best Pasta sea food entree. So good, I tried to make it at home but was not nearly as yummy! A must go Restaurant!

The environment was cool and spacious, with plenty of booths that seemed to cater to a wide range of guests. It was fairly busy when we arrived, which gave it a lively feel. We ordered a mix of appetizers and drinks, while the drinks weren’t really to my taste, the rest of my group enjoyed them along with the overall vibe. I went with their special steak and crab cake topped with blue cheese, and it was a solid choice. The crab dip, in particular, stood out as absolutely delicious. They even offered gluten-free options, which is always nice to see. My wife ordered a gluten-free pizza and really enjoyed it.

Reservations highly recommended. This was our first time and we didn't. Took about 30mins for a table while a dozen parties with reservations walked right to their table. Service was good. Food was tasty. This is obviously a popular spot for lots of local regulars. The hostess and manager seemed to know about half the people that walked in by name.

We were in the Mechanicsburg area on our way to a wedding and wanted to find a spot for lunch- TripAdvisor had Black n Bleu listed as one of the top options, and it does deserve to be one of the top spots! We arrived shortly after they opened so we were seated immediately and it wasn’t too busy, but as we were there, multiple parties (including one large one) arrived. Tammy, our server, provided outstanding service, taking our orders for our party of four with a 2-check split without needing to write anything down and being really on top of refills and checking in on us. The restaurant was clean to start, but she continued to keep our table very neat, collecting straw wrappers and any extra plates or silverware as soon as she could to keep things out of the way. When it came time to box up our food, she boxed everything for us, making sure to include what we wanted and exclude any scraps we didn’t want. She brought a great dry sense of humor to our interactions and took our overall experience up a notch. And of course, the food was EXCELLENT! I had the monster burger, mostly because the description of having two 8 ounce patties plus slow cooked short rib, bacon, onion straws, barbecue sauce, and cheese sounded too amazing and interesting to pass up. It truly is a monster, I couldn’t get my mouth around it! Cooked perfectly to medium, it had a great flavor, and even the leftovers were delicious, which isn’t always the case with burgers. I did have to add salt to my fries, but everything else was seasoned well. My husband had the blacked chicken melt and enjoyed it, having enough to take half of his meal home as well. Our friends had the wedge salad and the crab ravioli and were impressed with those choices also. All of this to say, if you’re in the area, Black n Bleu is very much worth the stop.
